Who are you?
I am Andrea dal Zotto, originally from Veneto and now rooted in Trentino for about ten years. I graduated in law here in Trento and after experience in various companies I chose the capital of Trentino as the base for my freelance work.
What do you do?
I deal with privacy protection. Specifically, I advise companies on personal data management. I try to create a balance between the needs of the company and the individual: companies need to use personal data and information to enhance their business, for example by making marketing more effective. On the other hand, however, people also need to know that their personal data is not abused leading to a violation of their personal sphere. My job is to help companies realise their goals while respecting legality and individual freedom.
When did you start?
I founded Midas, my consulting business, on 1 January 2019. Previously, I was an in-house lawyer in a few companies, where I always dealt with privacy. Then I became more and more passionate about privacy and decided to set up my own business to deal 100% with this area.
